Located in the heart of Ghent, this apartment within a 2010s building was completely
reconfigured to enhance the sense of flow. Designed for a couple in their late thirties, the
apartment balances openness with comfort, resulting in a living environment that feels
deeply personal.
The design intention was to create a sense of openness, where rooms dissolve into one
another with minimal interruption. Carefully selected materials such as sapeli veneer,
terrafloor, stainless steel and a sculptural concrete kitchen island establish a refined yet
grounded aesthetic. A Brazilian natural stone washbasin subtly marks the entrance.
